Biography
Braden Bales merges unfiltered and honest lyrics with clever rhythms and memorable melodies dotted with light electronic touches as a Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer. It was in 2021 when the Oakville, Ontario native began turning the downsides of his youth into comforting indie pop numbers such as "Perrier," "Evil Aphrodite," and "Blow My Brains." The next year saw a partnership with Kathryn Engel for the sincere "I Found Your Sweatshirt," followed by the start of 2023 featuring his enormous streaming smash "Chronically Cautious" that landed a Geffen record agreement. Addressing issues of surmounting anxiety and pressure, the inspirational "Pick Me Up" served as Bales' initial offering on that label and came out toward the end of the year.
