Rachel Shock and Graham Eden, performing as Brain Bashers, supplied the British Shock imprint with an extensive run of twelve-inch singles, two of the most prominent being "Feels So Good" and "Do It Now." Their productions received varied stylistic labels, all pointing to the shifting happy hardcore, hi-NRG, and U.K. hard house current of high-energy, exaggerated dance music. In 2000 the Los Angeles-based happy hardcore label hiGHBorn Records issued the first American compilation of Brain Bashers material. Carrying the duo’s name as its title, the set contained most of their best-known tracks, the bulk of which had remained hard to obtain in the States.
