Biography
Brandon Camphor, an artist working in contemporary gospel and Christian pop who grew up in the Washington, D.C. area, launched his solo career in 2006. That same year he issued To the One, a modest five-song EP rooted in modern R&B-inflected gospel, under his own imprint. In 2007 he assembled the ensemble Brandon Camphor & OneWay alongside vocalists Fred Cleveland, Angela Jones, and Julia McMillan. The collective cultivated a blend of contemporary gospel, pop, and rock, delivering their first recording, Regeneration, two years afterward. Although their follow-up full-length, Hope Is Alive, did not appear until 2015, the group issued several singles throughout the interim and maintained a steady schedule of live performances.
