Biography
Dance-pop vocalist Breanna Rubio, who performed earlier under the name Breanna Sullivan, launched her singing career while still in preschool. During her teenage years she appeared regularly at sports competitions, country clubs, and cancer-related fundraisers throughout her home state of Colorado. She later signed to Upscale Records, the imprint headed by Emmanuel "Manny" Mijares, co-writer of Alex Gaudino and Kelly Rowland’s Top Ten U.K. hit “What a Feeling.” In 2015 the label issued her single “More Than a Feeling,” which opens with a guest verse from Fat Joe; the track entered Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart that July. Rubio quickly returned with the more assertive “More Than a Feeling,” co-written by Mijares and Damon Sharpe (Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez) and reworked by Dave Audé, Razor N’ Guido, and additional producers. The release outperformed its predecessor, reaching number 15 on Dance Club Songs.
