Biography
In the 1970s, gospel vocalist Brenda Waters joined forces with Shirley Joiner and Carl Preacher to establish the Southeast Inspirational Youth Choir, an ensemble that played a key role in introducing contemporary gospel music within church environments. Her collaborations extended to Donald Lawrence, for whom she contributed to the 1993 release A Songwriter's Point Of View, marking his first album. The year 1999 saw the arrival of her initial solo project, Believers & Friends, issued through the Crystal Rose label.
