Biography
Bright Light Fever, a quartet blending garage rock with blues influences, came together near Sacramento, California, in 2003. Its lineup includes brothers Evan Anthony Ferro on vocals, guitar, and keyboard and Matt Ferro on guitar, plus bassist Dan Suave and drummer Robert Torres. The project began as a three-piece featuring Evan Anthony Ferro, Suave, and Charles Dale on drums. Late in 2005, after Dale’s departure left the group on the verge of calling it quits, Stolen Transmission Records—an Island subsidiary—expressed interest. The musicians then recruited local drummer Robert Torres and brought Matt Ferro aboard on guitar. Recording for their debut full-length wrapped in April 2006 under producer Joby Ford of the Bronx, with engineering by Robert Cheek of RX Bandits. Stolen Transmission issued the resulting album, Bright Light Fever Presents the Evening Owl, that September. The band formally disbanded in 2008.
