Biography
Drawing from earlier power pop acts, Broadfield Marchers produce brief, guitar-driven tracks reminiscent of Big Star and Guided by Voices. This Kentucky trio consists of Justin Carter on drums, Dustin Zdobylak on vocals and guitar, and Mark Zdobylak on bass and vocals. Established in 2000, the group refined a nostalgic, melodic style of songwriting that eventually drew interest from the independent label Secretly Canadian. Their two-year association led to the 2006 release of the debut album When the Lifted Connive through that imprint. The band later moved to Rainbow Quartz, which issued the follow-up record The Inevitable Continuing in 2008.
