Biography
Broken Twin functions as the alias adopted by Majke Voss Romme, the Danish singer and songwriter residing in Copenhagen. The project crafts an atmospheric fusion of minimalist chamber pop and narrative-driven indie folk, evoking parallels with Anna Calvi, Antony & the Johnsons, Daughter, Fiona Apple, and fellow Dane Agnes Obel. Arrangements revolve around Romme’s singular, expressive vocals and draw chiefly on piano and strings for their framework. Romme produced her inaugural full-length, May, which Ian Caple—credited with prior work alongside Kate Bush and Tindersticks—mixed together with Brian Batz prior to its Anti Records release in early 2014.
