Biography
In essence, Brother Clyde amounts to Billy Ray Cyrus donning hard-rocking grunge attire. The project first took shape in 2009 after Jeffrey Steele, Phil Vassar, and John Waite invited Cyrus to participate in what was envisioned as a supergroup, yet the lineup that ultimately delivered the self-titled debut album on Fontana Records in 2010 comprised Cyrus together with ex-Hole/Eagles of Death Metal drummer Samantha Maloney, former Snot guitarist Jamie Miller, guitarist Dan Knight, and bassist Dave Henning, while Steele, Vassar, and Waite were absent altogether.
