Biography
Emerging from Pittsburgh, PA, Broughton's Rules assembled in 2009 around ex-members of the local acts Don Caballero and Blunderbuss. Guitarist Jeff Ellsworth came from the former, while the latter supplied guitarist and harmonica player Ben Matthews, bassist Jim Nemeth, and drummer Dennis Kern. This largely instrumental band blends classic, alternative, and post-rock elements, and the group signed with Relapse Records to issue its first album, Bounty Hunter 1853, which appeared in late 2010.
