Brandon Peavy first gained recognition drumming and producing for other Christian hip-hop performers before developing his own catalog under the moniker BrvndonP, which began with a favorably received self-titled LP in 2016. A Sacramento native, he took up drumming in early childhood and later turned to production and rapping during his teenage years, yet treated music as a casual interest until enrolling at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts. Recording initially under the name Black Knight, he accumulated production credits across several albums between 2012 and 2015, most prominently on KB's Weight & Glory and Andy Mineo's Uncomfortable, both of which reached number one on Billboard's Christian chart. In 2016 he supplied tracks for Derek Minor's Reflection and B-Fade's All Things Are Possible while also issuing his self-titled solo debut as BrvndonP, which rose to number 16 on the Christian chart and included guest appearances by E-40, Lecrae, and John Givez. Live in LA surfaced in 2017 alongside the full-length collaboration Barely Finished with Mission. His engaging third studio album, Better Late Than Never, appeared the next year in 2018.
