Biography
Bryan Kelley, a singer-songwriter based in Santa Monica, started his musical education in early childhood. While residing in the Philippines at age four he first played the ukulele before shifting his focus to guitar. Although he performed with Mike McCready and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam amid Seattle’s grunge community, those ties yielded little creative spark, so he relocated southward to California in hopes of wider acceptance for his slightly edgy spiritual folk-rock. In 1998 he issued Charming the Gods on his independent Groove House label and backed the release with extensive touring, resulting in moderate commercial traction.
