Hailing from Carmichaels in Pennsylvania’s Greene County, roughly sixty miles south of Pittsburgh, pop country artist Brynn Marie, born Brynn Marie Cirota, developed an early passion for singing that began in her elementary school chorus, where she soon landed solo opportunities. During her teenage years she performed with a Christian group, yet country music exerted a stronger pull; after claiming victory in a 2005 talent contest hosted by radio station WKKW, she committed fully to a professional music path and relinquished her position as captain of the dance team at California University of Pennsylvania, where she was then enrolled. Forming her own band, she began performing regularly and quickly gained recognition as a vocalist and opening performer, sharing stages with such artists as Darius Rucker, Darryl Worley, Jo Dee Messina, Loretta Lynn, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Aaron Tippin, and Phil Vassar. In 2008 she issued her self-released EP Start Now. Chosen by Armed Forces Entertainment that same year, she completed a three-week holiday tour of U.S. military bases across Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Djibouti.
