Biography
Hailing from South Virginia, jazz vocalist Buck Evans refined his abilities across an array of locales, ranging from New Orleans' Bourbon Street to Boston, Baltimore, and Cape Cod along the Eastern Seaboard. The year 1971 brought the performer's relocation to Skagway, AK, after which he sustained his appearances throughout the surrounding region and the Canadian North. A 1996 collaboration with the Brahmin Bellhops yielded the album Who's She Jazzin' Now for Stomp Off Records. Performances have carried him across Europe and Australia while his approach to jazz remains distinctly informed by the 1920s and 1930s. Evans issued Nize Baby on Burn Barrel Records in 2001.
