Biography
An obscure British psychedelic group active in the closing years of the 1960s, Bulldog Breed released a lone album whose contents stayed within the conventions of the style yet lacked distinction. Their approach nevertheless ranged across several moods, taking in pop-psychedelia, guitar-led numbers with a mod inflection, touches of blues-rock, narrative-driven pieces, and one track leaning toward jazz. Drummer Louis Farrell had previously belonged to Gun, and other participants had earlier associations with the little-documented 1960s British band Please. A portion of the lineup later surfaced in the likewise little-known acts T2 and Asgard.
