Biography
Burd Early, working as a singer and songwriter, first stepped forward in 2000 when he presented his dirt-road indie rock to listeners everywhere. A lifelong New Yorker whose music carries the bittersweet tone of Elliott Smith and Death Cab for Cutie alongside the shadowy atmosphere of Joe Henry and Lou Barlow, he continues to appear at club dates throughout the metropolitan area. In summer 2002 Early joined the VPRO Festival in Holland to present his debut album Magnet Mountain.
