Biography
Hailing from Chicago, sludge and doom metal outfit Buried At Sea signed with the storied Neurot label, long associated with post-metal, sludge, and doom releases. Their earliest output, a 2002 demo, preceded the full-length debut Migration, which appeared in 2003. Drawing sonic cues from earlier acts such as Wickerman and Behold! The Living Corpse, the group comprised Jason Depew on guitars, Sanford Parker on guitar and vocals, Brian Sowell on bass and vocals, and drummer Bill Daniel. The EP She Lived For Others But Died For Us surfaced in 2004. Buried At Sea returned in 2007 with a second EP, the widely praised Ghost.
