Burn

Burn originated in New York during 1989 and swiftly established itself among the leading hardcore punk acts in America due to its compelling energy and refusal to compromise. Because of its sporadic existence marked by numerous breaks and changes in lineup, the group managed to put out just four EPs from 1990 through 2002. Although they performed occasional gigs over the subsequent fifteen years, the 2015 reformation involving guitarist and songwriter Gavin Van Vlack along with vocalist Chaka Malik—who had departed following the initial EP for Orange 9mm—signaled their full comeback, now joined by bassist Tyler Krupsky and drummer Abbas Muhammad. Bridge 9 issued their single "From the Ashes" the following year, while Deathwish put out the 2017 debut full-length Do or Die, which Kurt Ballou produced.
