Bystander

Formed in 1981, this quartet from the United States specialized in melodic rock. Drawing inspiration from Loverboy and Kansas, its lineup featured Andy Kiely handling vocals and bass, Bucky Naughton on guitar and vocals, John E. Allison also on guitar and vocals, plus Jimmy Callaghan on drums. Joining after the album's issuance, Allison and Callaghan took the places of Mike Weaver and Stanley Steele. Not So Innocent, funded independently by the group itself, stood out as a strong first effort that exceeded what many established performers achieved within the style.
