Italy's counterpart to Ne Zhdali arrives in the shape of the high-voltage avant-punk outfit Bz Bz Ueu. Their cut-and-paste eccentricity draws support from saxophone and trumpet lines plus heaps of children's toys, yielding an unpredictable sonic journey. Only a handful of CD EPs and singles exist, each issued exclusively in Italy.

Core members bassist Pino Montecalvo and guitarist Efisio Biancofiore started composing material together near 1992. Drummer Carlo Lupori joined after catching one of their local-bar appearances that still relied on a drum machine, injecting fresh endurance into the lineup. By late 1994 the ensemble had grown into a five-piece completed by trumpeter Edy Leo and saxophonist Jacopo Andreini. Their debut self-titled CD EP appeared in 1995 and introduced an original mixture of punk rock and hardcore-jazz. Evoking the Ex colliding with the circus-like European rock of Ne Zhdali or Uz Jsme Doma, the release earned favorable regional notices and caught the ear of the American punk duo God Is My Co-Pilot. Montecalvo's own imprint Music 'a la Coque put out two split 7-inch records in 1996 and 1998 pairing the band with God Is My Co-Pilot and its offshoot No. Those singles never generated sufficient overseas interest to secure shows beyond Italy or a broader contract. The follow-up CD EP Uhozmerigotz surfaced at the close of 2000, revealing a sharper turn toward absurdity through toys, animal sounds, and assorted objects while retaining brisk punk drive.
