Hailing from Utrecht, the group C-Mon & Kypsi fused modern funk, R&B, and hip-hop in its sound and featured Thomas Elbers (Kypsi) and Simon Akkermans (C-Mon), both working as DJs and producers, together with bassist Daniel Rose and keyboardist Jori Collignon. Across its career the quartet issued six albums—Vinyl Voodoo (2002), C-Mon Cereal (2004), Static Traveller (2004), Feel1Vibe (2005), Dutch Rare Food (2005), and Where the Wild Things Are (2006)—that earned both critical praise and strong commercial results.
