Biography
In the mid-1980s the Panamanian band Cabeza de Martillo first took the stage under the name Hammerhead. Its original members included Hector Carles on bass, Todd Wells on drums, Erick Pinzón on guitar and Javier Chanis on vocals, with singer Frank Leone added shortly afterward. The musicians performed across Panama in the company of Los Tímidos and Los 33. A radio program titled Volumen Brutal enabled the group to produce its debut album, Invasión, which appeared in December 1996 and was succeeded by Crónicas Del Dolor in 2000. Beginning the following year, Cabeza de Martillo extended its live appearances to Mexico and Argentina.
