Biography
Renowned as two of the finest sibling pairings among modern jazz trumpeters, Conte Candoli and Pete Candoli each built impressive solo careers before uniting their talents. Their collaboration spanned the years 1957 through 1962 and resurfaced in 1973 during the Monterey Jazz Festival. A separate venture into nightclub performances, featuring Pete's spouse Edie Adams, began in 1972. Recordings by the Candoli Brothers ensemble persisted through the initial years of the 1980s. Prostate cancer claimed both musicians, with Conte passing in 2001 and Pete following in 2008.
