Baltimore outfit Can’t Hang launched their punky reggae party sound in 1999, drawing frequent comparisons to Sublime and Pepper. With Bob Marley and Bad Religion also shaping their approach, the group honed their craft through local performances prior to issuing the Sound in Time EP in 2001. Loyal supporters had gathered in their hometown by the arrival of their debut full-length Coast to Coast in 2002, which coincided with growing audiences reached via East Coast touring. Live in Charm City from 2004 documented their energetic performances onstage, and the follow-up studio effort Blood Sweat and Beers came out in 2007. The 2009 release Ride the Lightrail featured artwork spoofing Metallica’s Ride the Lightning.
