In the closing years of the 1970s, singer and guitarist Jorge Garacotche established the Argentinean rock project Canturbe alongside bassist Luis Blanco, guitarist Alejandro Fiori, and drummer Gabriel Pelizzari. Charly García contributed keyboards as a special guest on the group's self-titled first album, which Polygram put out in 1981. The follow-up, Bonpland, arrived in 1983 and included a distinctive take on Carlos Gardel's "Soledad." Clandestino came out from Canturbe in 1986. With Fernando Bellini stepping in for Luis Blanco on bass, the band laid down Del Mágico Mundo. In 1990, Litto Nebbia and María José Cantilo collaborated with them on En Venta.
