Biography
Emerging from Austin, Texas in the middle of the 1980s, Cargo Cult fused an array of genres encompassing rock, metal, punk, and psychedelia. The four-piece lineup included vocals by Big Boys member Randy "Biscuit" Turner, guitar from eventual Jesus Lizard and Tomahawk member Duane Denison, additional guitar by Don Davis, and drumming by James Bonney. Their sole album, Strange Men Bearing Gifts, appeared on Touch and Go in 1986, with the same imprint handling a re-release in 2002.
