Biography
Carlo Calvi, an Italian guitarist who also worked as a redactor, created the volume "Intavolatura di chitarra, e chitarriglia." Serving simultaneously as a manual on tuning procedures and tablature interpretation, the book gathered together numerous compositions written for guitar. These works fell into two separate categories according to whether they called for plucking or strumming. In all his efforts Calvi followed the established musical forms and practices of his period.
