Biography
Carol Lynn Townes, a dance and disco vocalist, notched two modest successes in the mid-'80s through soundtrack placements. The tracks "99 1/2" and "Believe in the Beat" appeared in Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, respectively. Although neither registered as a major smash, "99 1/2" still reached the R&B Top 30.
