Biography
Blending classic thrash with punk and NWOBHM in a potent mix, Category 7 operates as a heavy metal supergroup that unleashes an intense rock & roll storm. The lineup includes John Bush, frontman of Armored Saint and ex-Anthrax, Phil Demmel on guitar formerly of Machine Head, Mike Orlando handling guitar duties from Adrenaline Mob, Jack Gibson on bass from Exodus, and Jason Bittner behind the kit for Overkill and Shadows Fall. The ensemble came together in 2023 and signed with Metal Blade the next year. Moving swiftly, Category 7 put out the singles "In Stitches" and "Mustang" in early 2024, both of which later surfaced on the group’s self-titled debut album before the year closed.
