Biography
Prior to turning her attention toward younger listeners, Cathy Block had composed material recorded by Diana Ross, Kool & the Gang, and Al Jarreau. Her first children’s project, the 1994 album Timeless, contains thirteen original compositions. Drawing on folk, country, and Broadway idioms to engage parents as well, she followed that release with That’s What Kids Do!, which captures a children’s stage production performed by the Living Green Children’s Chorus under her direction.
