Biography
Hailing from San Francisco, the rock outfit CCR Headcleaner crafts a gritty, guitar-driven, distortion-soaked strain of psychedelic music suited to backstreets and mischief. Core members Alex Cargile and Justin Flowers, both previously part of the Athens, Georgia group Long Legged Woman, are joined by rotating players drawn from outfits such as the Hospitals, Jealousy, and Waste Rig. In their Athens days, the collective Pollen Season was founded by them to put out recordings tied to the various endeavors of its participants. The initial significant output came in 2013 with Lace the Earth with Arms Open Wide on Pizza Burglar Records. Following the 2015 release of their noise-laden single "Cokesmoker," the eight-track album Tear Down the Wall appeared via In the Red Records in 2016.
