Biography
Emerging from Poland in the early 1990s, Cemetery of Scream coalesced around vocalist Marcin Kotas, guitarists Marcin Piwowarczyk and Artur Oleszkiewicz, bassist Jacek Krolik, and drummer Grzegorz Ksiazek. Dissatisfied with the boundaries of standard doom/death metal, the five-piece group wove in gothic touches, keyboard textures, and intermittent female vocals for their lone release, the ambitiously conceived yet plainly named 1995 album Melancholy, before disappearing entirely.
