Biography
Distinguished from the groundbreaking Mexican death metal act sharing its name, the Turkish Cenotaph originates in Ankara and pursues a heightened extremity in gore/grind/black/death metal that builds upon and exceeds the approaches of Carcass, Autopsy, and Cannibal Corpse. Batu Cetin established the group in 1994 as its vocalist and bassist, resulting in a discography marked by intensity and provocation yet marked by irregularity, encompassing Voluptuously Minced from 1996, Puked Genital Purulency released in 1998, and Pseudo Verminal Cadaverium issued in 2003, with the latter incorporating guitar contributions from Basar Cetin and Cihan Akün alongside drumming by Goremaster.
