Biography
Cerafim, a Toronto-based band, came together in 1986. Its original roster featured John P. D'Addona on guitar, Rick Kazmirchuk on keyboards, Gabe Pethö on bass, Jeff Morrison on vocals, and Marce Ciurleo on drums. The ensemble quickly earned top placements in numerous Canadian music competitions. Those wins kept accumulating across the following nine years and directly led to the 1996 release of the group’s debut CD, Sides of a Different Kind. Morrison exited in 1998; Mark Roebuck stepped in to fill the vocal slot. Another shift took place the next year when Oleg Sarkissov replaced the previous drummer. The refreshed lineup was showcased that same year on a four-song EP. Their second proper album, Alternative to Alternative, arrived in 2000.
