Chad McCloskey possesses a warm baritone suited to classic pop and jazz standards. Initial public notice arrived via his membership in the Christian vocal ensemble the Ball Brothers, ahead of his first solo album, Smilin', which appeared in 2019.
Born during 1989 in Madison, Wisconsin, he spent his formative years in Northern Michigan and began singing alongside family members near age three. Support from his father, the musical director at the family church, sustained vocal growth through high school and college. By 2006 he had started regular performances connected to the family's evangelism activities. Wider visibility came in 2012 when he joined the sibling vocal group the Ball Brothers, contributing to several albums such as 2014's Pursuit and 2016's Dynamic.
