Biography
Chalee Tennison, a contemporary country singer, served as a prison guard at the Gatesville Unit and Mountainview Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before reaching Nashville, with death row inmate Karla Faye Tucker among those under her watch. While gaining early stage experience alongside multiple bands throughout central Texas, she eventually moved to Music City and recorded demos that attracted producer Jerry Taylor, securing a deal with Asylum. Her self-titled debut LP arrived in mid-1999, fronted by the single "Someone Else's Turn to Cry," and This Woman's Heart appeared the following year.
