Biography
Formed in 1992, this rock outfit from the Netherlands assembled a demo recording the following year that earned ‘demo of the month’ honors from a Dutch metal publication. Comparable acclaim arrived from other European outlets soon afterward. The group signed with Rock The Nation Records shortly after and revisited the material in the studio before traveling to South River, New Jersey, where Trax East Studios completed the final mix. Cold Sweat drew its core influence from the alternative sounds of Seattle and the Pearl Jam / Soundgarden axis while folding in progressive elements from a broader musical palette, prompting critics to reference Dream Theater.
