Biography
Ottawa-based singer/songwriter Charlie Sohmer built a durable reputation across the Canadian folk circuit through years of stage work. Nearly two decades of live refinement preceded his first recording, the cassette-only Some Shadows Lead You On, which appeared in 1991. Four years later came the well-regarded follow-up Spirit Jewels, with Casual Rake arriving in 1997.
