Biography
Cheri Knight launched her musical path by serving as bassist in the alternative bluegrass outfit the Blood Oranges. Once that group disbanded she relocated from Massachusetts to New York, crossing paths with Eric Ambel and Will Rigby; the pair helped her lay down her first solo record, the 1996 release The Knitter. Early 1998 brought the arrival of her acclaimed follow-up, Northeast Kingdom.
