Biography
Emerging during the late 1960s, this pop ensemble pursued an aggressively commercial sound tailored for AM radio rotation, at moments recalling the approach of the Turtles and the Left Banke yet delivering a brighter, more buoyant feel akin to a milder, less sugary take on the Cuff Links' "Tracy." Original songs made up only a small share of their catalog, and even devotees of the style find scant appeal in the band's self-titled album.
