CHIMNEY

Dan Molad, the multi-instrumentalist and producer who serves as drummer for Lucius while having previously belonged to Elizabeth & the Catapult and Via Audio, created CHIMNEY as his solo outlet. His production and engineering work, extending well beyond Lucius, encompasses the Brooklyn indie rock bands San Fermin, Here We Go Magic, and Pavo Pavo plus Tweedy, JD McPherson, Monica Lionheart, and additional acts. Dine Alone put out the self-titled CHIMNEY debut in mid-2017, not long after Molad’s relocation from New York to Los Angeles, on an album whose off-center, bittersweet indie pop he wrote, produced, and recorded in full.
