Based in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Chloe Angelides fuses pop, rock, R&B, and electronic sounds in her music, using a flexible vocal range that shifts between high, airy tones and strong, raspy delivery to express raw emotions of heartbreak and desire through incisive lyrics. Her origins trace back to Reston, Virginia, where she was born in 1992, and her initial foray into recording occurred as a vocalist on Steven Swartz's EDM track "Survivor" in 2013. By 2014, she had established herself writing and producing songs for prominent acts including Ciara, Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande, while simultaneously appearing as a guest singer on Pitbull's "Sexy Beaches," Felix Cartal's "Ready for Love," LunchMoney Lewis' "Whip It," and R. City's "Make Up," all co-written by her. The peak of her visibility arrived in 2019 via her contribution to the poignant EDM ballad "Hard to Say Goodbye" by Ekali & Illenium, which stands among her most streamed releases. She initiated her independent path in 2020 with several singles issued through Spanakopita Lullabies, her personal imprint, such as "Ex WiFi" and "Crickets," culminating in the 2021 release of her first full-length album, Friends Who Failed at Love.
