Christian Kleine

Christian Kleine, an electronic producer, spent his early years in an Alpine-ringed town where he recorded radio broadcasts devoted to alternative rock. By the early '90s he had taught himself guitar, bass, and drums, prompting a decisive turn toward house and techno. Several years afterward he relocated to Berlin, where immersion in the city’s electronic circles led him to launch his own productions. City Centre Offices issued his debut album Beyond Repair in 2001, a full-length whose hip-hop-influenced beats were interwoven with assorted textures that at times incorporated guitar. The following year Valis surfaced on the Morr Music label. He has also joined City Centre Offices honcho Thaddi Herrmann in the duo Herrmann & Kleine.
