A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Christina Bell first rose to prominence in contemporary gospel circles as a member of the Stellar-nominated vocal group Zie'l before stepping out on her own with the 2016 debut Just Believe.

Her path into the industry began in 1998 when she joined her sister Crystal Bell and three additional singers to create the all-female gospel ensemble Zie'l. Still in her early teens, she spent the following eight years helping shape the group’s richly harmonic style, which blended urban contemporary gospel, Christian R&B, and soul. The act made its recorded debut on Light Records with the 2006 album Genesis, then returned in 2014 with Zie'l (Pronounced Zy-El). That project marked their commercial breakthrough, reaching number 24 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart and earning a pair of Stellar Award nominations.

After nearly two decades of touring and recording with Zie'l, Bell declared her intent to go solo in 2016 and released the independent, seven-song collection Just Believe. Two years later she joined the roster of the historic Malaco label, known for its deep catalog of southern gospel, soul, and blues, and commenced work on a full-length project. Following appearances on Fred Hammond’s Festival of Praise tour alongside Donnie McClurkin, Charles Jenkins, and James Fortune, she issued the single “Going” in 2019.
