Biography
Swiss trombonist Christophe Schweizer first established his standing by fronting ensembles such as 5SIX7 and Normal Garden. Membership in additional outfits, among them the Mingus Big Band, carried his profile beyond Switzerland and secured overseas engagements along with multiple slots at the Montreux Jazz Festival. When recording under his own name he routinely enlists the ensembles he directs, a pattern illustrated by the 2002 album Physique, which found him supported by Normal Garden.
