Biography
Christopher D. Ashley emerged as an electronic pop/rock musician after displaying prodigious skills in childhood, only to turn away from rigid classical traditions toward rock, experimental forms, and electronic textures that shaped a debut album echoing New Order. Throughout his teenage years he pursued opposing tastes, admiring figures such as John Cage while also gravitating toward the thrash metal sound established by Dave Mustaine. Electronic music eventually supplied the expressive vehicle he required. Sunday Best Recordings signed the artist, and his first full-length release, Cruel Romantics, appeared in April of 2008.
