Christopher Peacock maintains a career as a contemporary instrumental musician while serving as resident pianist at Rosario Resort in Washington State's San Juan Islands. His output since the late 1980s has traversed classical and contemporary jazz idioms, moving between introspective solo piano works and more expansive settings that incorporate guitar, strings, and orchestral forces.

He began performing as a percussionist with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, later studying composition under William Kraft of the L.A. Philharmonic and taking up the pianist residency at Rosario Resort & Spa on Orcas Island. Working at the resort's original 1900 Model A Steinway grand piano, he shaped pieces intended to reflect the character of the Pacific Northwest island setting. His first release, Island Life, appeared in 1989; it was followed the next year by Oceans, which included guitarist Gene Nery and pianist Richard Palalay. Subsequent recordings have encompassed Traveler (1999), Seaglass (2005), and Simple Gifts (2018), addressing material that ranges from holiday themes to Broadway and film repertoire.
