Biography
Chubby Parker ranked among the first participants in WLS-Chicago's National Barn Dance radio program, where he concentrated on plain, whimsical folk numbers such as "King Kong Kitchie Kitchie Ki-Me-O" and "Nicekty Nackety Now Now Now." His initial appearance on the program occurred in 1925, when he accompanied his vocals on five-string banjo. During the final years of the decade Parker cut multiple sides for Columbia.
