Chymes

Chymes, an Australian vocalist and composer, employs a soft, melodic inflection in her delivery across mesmerizing, seductive tracks rooted in electronic pop. Her initial foray into music came via the 2016 track "Dreaming" from the Glow EP, which sparked widespread online interest, followed by the 2021 release of Hell & Divine EP.

Kiersten Nyman, known professionally as Chymes, was raised on the Central Coast of New South Wales and took up songwriting during adolescence once she had mastered the guitar on her own. Partnering with songwriter and producer Cameron Taylor led to the creation of ethereal indie electronic compositions. After uploading material to the internet, they put out Glow in 2016. The EP received an unforeseen lift when BTS member and K-pop artist Jungkook posted about "Dreaming" on social platforms, propelling it to viral status; both that track and "Oracle" climbed high on Korean digital streaming rankings. Chymes put forth her follow-up EP, Hell & Divine, in May 2021, once more working alongside Taylor. "Made of You" appeared among its tracks.
