Ciao Mama

Forming in 1997, Mexican Latin pop act Ciao Mama issued a self-titled debut album in 1999 that turned the five-member group into a local teen pop favorite. Producers José Ramon Flores, Loris Ceroni, and Carlos Lara helmed the project, which contained the hit singles "S.O.S." and "Veneno y Miel." José Luis Ortega Castro (born 1981; aka "Pepe"), Guillermo Cespedes Campo (born 1981; aka "Memo"), José Luis Velasquez Monseñor (born 1980), Alberto Castañeda Sierra (born 1981; aka "Beto"), and Carlos Antonio Cisneros Macias (born 1979; aka "Tony") later relocated to Bologna, Italy, to record the follow-up album Puntos Suspensivos.
